Design Article: Large-Scale Battles (Digital Only)

Design Articles are optional add-ons for your adventure, designed by us. These systems can be easily used in ongoing Phoenix Roleplays adventure and are designed to enhance less common aspects of Phoenix RPGs, providing extra rules and outlines for situations often not covered in the guides.
Combat in the Phoenix system is designed for small groups of enemies, and can quickly get impossible when rolling for dozens or hundreds of foes. This Design Article introduces easy-to-follow mechanics for large-scale battles, taking into account factors such as terrain, equipment and morale whilst also allowing the players to have a significant impact throughout.
