Rifts and Rivets

Rifts and Rivets is a sci-fi setting in which numerous alien factions explore the galaxies, utilising cutting edge technologies and mysterious space-time rifts as they battle to fill the power vacuum left in the aftermath of the millennia-spanning Supreme War.

 

The galaxies of Rifts and Rivets are filled with countless strange species and groups, many operating at immense scales, fielding fleets comprising billions of ships and fighting over enormous territories. The Supreme War, which ended just under three years ago, has left a permanent mark on the galaxies. With huge swathes of the galaxies destroyed or forever changed, factions struggle to find their place and purpose after centuries of fighting. As new means of war and rebuilding are developed, no one knows who will thrive and who will fall in this grand reordering of the galaxies.

 

After a thousand years of war, the people and places of Rifts and Rivets carry heavy scars, both physical and mental. Despite this, in the present day of the setting, there is a cautious hope for a better, more peaceful future. Whilst good will still often triumph over evil in Rifts and Rivets, distinguishing the two is not always so easy, and even good intentions can have dire and far-reaching consequences.
